The Code Four Show Stables team is spending the coldest part of the winter down in Gulfport, Mississippi on the Gulf Coast Winter Classic circuit, February 4-March 15, where the weather is much nice than in Virginia!
Most recently, during the Gulf Coast Magnolia Classic III, February 18-22, many ribbons were added to the Code Four banner. Calmar 3, owned by Mackenzie Smith and ridden by Allie Rahman, jumped to top ribbons in the Children’s/Adult Jumper section. Dealbreaker and Amanda Hood competed in the competitive Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper 1.30m section, also earning excellent placings.
Trainer Tiffany Cambria continued to make her presence known in the Open Jumpers. Collin W, owned by The GT Syndicate, placed fourth in the $10,000 Jumper Classic and eighth in the Welcome Classic 1.40m. Vavoom, owned by Amanda Hood and ridden by Tiffany, competed in the Welcome Classic 1.40 and the $35,000 Cedar Street Advisors Grand Prix. During Week 1, the pair placed third in the $25,000 Foley RV Center Grand Prix Presented by EMO.
During the Gulf Coast National II, Guy Cambria and Andrew had a banner week. The pair earned the High Performance Working Hunter Reserve Championship before contesting the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. There, they placed fifth in the Classic Hunter Round and in the Handy Hunter Round to place sixth overall. They currently stand second in circuit standings in the High Performance section.
The newest Open Jumper in the Code Four show string, Varios, continues to impress. He placed third in the Welcome Classic 1.40m during the second week of the circuit with stablemate Collin W taking seventh.
Collin W had his moment to shine as well, winning an Open Jumper 1.20m class during Week 2, the Gulf Coast National II.
Best of luck to the horses, riders and owners as the second half of the Gulf Coast winter circuit starts!
